How we build, check, and maintain the tools on CalculatesNow.com
How we build our calculators
Every calculator on this site is built on standard, published formulas — the same maths used by banks, regulators, and textbooks. We do not invent our own methods. The formula behind each tool is shown on its page, together with a worked example using real numbers, so you can verify the calculation yourself.
Where our numbers come from
For India-specific tools we rely on official sources: the Reserve Bank of India for lending and deposit conventions, the Income Tax Department for tax slabs and cess, SEBI for investment guidance, and the World Health Organization for health classifications such as BMI ranges.
Rates, slabs, and thresholds that change with government budgets or bank policy are treated as illustrative defaults. Where a figure can change, we link to the official source so you can confirm the current value.
Review and updates
Every calculator and converter page shows a “Last updated” date. We re-check tools when the rules behind them change — for example after a Union Budget changes tax slabs — and update the page and its date together.
Your privacy while calculating
Calculations run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type into a calculator are not sent to or stored on our servers. There are no accounts and no sign-ups.
Corrections
If you spot an error in any calculation, please email us at info@calculatesnow.com with the tool name, the inputs you used, and the result you expected. We investigate every report, fix confirmed errors, and bump the page’s “Last updated” date so the correction is visible.
What we are not
Our tools are for information and planning only. They are not financial, medical, tax, or legal advice, and results depend on the accuracy of the inputs you provide. For decisions that matter, consult a qualified professional. See our full disclaimer.
